TOOTH SENSITIVITY AFTER TOOTH FILLING

• It is quite normal to experience some sensitivity to hot, cold, and pressure following the procedure.
• The Sensitivity will subside within a few days to a few weeks.
• As long as the tooth sensitivity continues to decrease, there is no need for concern.

GUM DISCOMFORT AFTER DENTAL FILLING

• Following the tooth filling, especially the deeper one your gums may feel sore.
• Rinsing with warm salt water or applying medicated gels and taking an analgesic such as Ketorol can help decrease discomfort.

UNEVEN BITE AFTER TOOTH FILLING

• After your new filling or restoration has been placed, it may take a few days to get used to the new bite.
• In Case your bite is not adjusted or feels uneven after a few days, please contact us to schedule an appointment for a minor adjustment.

EATING AFTER DENTAL FILLING

• White composite fillings are light-cured and set immediately after they are placed, you can chew normally as you would immediately.
• For other kinds of dental fillings, you should resume eating as directed by your dentist
• In case your lips are numb, avoid chewing on the numb side of your mouth immediately after the procedure to prevent biting your lip, cheek or tongue.

HOME CARE AFTER TEETH FILLING

It is important to maintain an oral hygiene regime, regular brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits. This will not increase the longevity of your new filling and restoration but also prevents the tooth from getting further decay.
